The Ev. Lutheran Joint Synod of Wisconsin

This collection of Bible stories belonged to my mother's family. I remember reading it when I was younger, though back then, I was more intrigued with the illustrations than the stories.

I remembered it more as a children's Bible, but it really is a collection of stories from the Bible. The Old Testament stories touch on the highlights of the entirety of the Old Testament, but the New Testament focuses mostly on the gospels. The travels of Paul are pretty much ignored and there's nothing of any of the epistles or Revelation.… (meer)
