The UA Research Data Repository is a no-cost (to users) service, hosted by Figshare and managed by the University of Arizona Libraries (UAL), intended to store digital research outputs generated by University of Arizona (UA) researchers. The mission of the repository is to act as a university-backed, centralized location for the long-term storage of final research datasets, software, and other associated scholarly outputs to comply with data-sharing mandates from funders and publishers while at the same time, encouraging open science and research reproducibility. The end goal is to ensure such datasets are as discoverable and accessible as possible by researchers within and outside of the University by applying the FAIR principles1. Finally, the data repository and associated services endeavor to host high-quality research datasets that adhere to data management and data publishing best practices.
