TISM

Another footy themed song from alternative underground rock band TISM (This is Serious Mum). The song is included on the 2004 'White Albun' (sic).

This song was the winning entry in a Melbourne Triple M Radio competition in 1997. It was then used as a promotional song by Triple M through the 1997 AFL season. The song was released again in 2010. The theme of the song is a football fan who gets frustrated by all the noise around him as he is trying to listen to the football on the radio. As he screams in frustration at all the noisy distractions, he realises he is causing more noise than anything else, and realising this ‘shuts up’

Contains some lines comparing fans of the lead singer of The Doors group, Jim Morrison, to members of the Richmond Cheer Squad. From the vinyl format album 'Great Truckin Songs of the Renaissance', first released in 1988 by the Elvis label, and later reissued as a CD by Shock Records in 1991.
