Korte biografie
John Treherne was a Fellow of Downing College, Cambridge and University Reader in Zoology. He was Editor of the Journal of Experimental Biology for fifteen
years, from 1974 until his death from a heart attack on September 23rd 1989.
He wrote numerous papers, monographs and books on biological subjects. However his interests ranged far beyond Zoology and Natural History as he became a successful author in 1983 writing a book every year from 1983 until his death in 1989.
He had a particular interest in the real life characters of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow and wrote about the true story as opposed to the urban legend of "Bonnie and Clyde".

The evidence on both sides is thoroughly examined and the role of the fraudster Horatio Bottomley in promoting Wakeford's claims to innocence is detailed. Overall, a very useful account of what is now an almost forgotten tale.… (meer)
