nonfiction, intermediate/expert sewing (Japanese patterns translated into English - accessibility note: some of the print is quite tiny! overlapping patterns for tracing included on large paper sheets)
looser-fitting pullover and wraparound dresses, shirts and jackets (no zippers, though some have buttons) for Asian sizes XS (30-3/4" bust) through L (36-1/2" bust) for 5'3" tall models. There are quite a few patterns here and most are baggy enough where the garments would easily fit apple and pear shapes, but you'd have to decide for yourself whether the styles will flatter your body/personality or not. A lot of these I think would look frumpy on me, but I am looking for styles with more ease so I might give one or two of these a shot (my faves are G and maybe W with less gathering at the drop waist of the skirt, or maybe even just as a blouse; X might also work in a knit fabric?).
Note: instructions are minimal, but veteran sewists shouldn't have too much trouble.

easy-to-wear, loose-waisted styles (some buttons/ties, no zips) for asian sizes 6 (30-3/4" bust, 33-3/4" hips) to 16 (40-1/4" bust, 43-3/4" hips)--the styles are similar but the range of sizes are larger than in previous books (e.g., Stylish Dress Book: Clothing for Everyday Wear). There are 26 patterns included though they are not always easy to see in the photographs (due to covering vests or dark-colored or busy-printed fabric); I think I would like some of them but at the moment am too lazy to adapt them to my preferences (I'm pretty picky--though I suspect some elements like the sleeves are interchangeable it doesn't explicitly say that they are) and I have the feeling the styles won't look that nice on me. Paper sheets to copy/trace are included.
