Rosemary Kissinger Updyke

Although this is listed as fiction, the book read like a biography with an index and bibliography. I had just finished [Empire of the summer moon] by [[S.C. Gwynne]] and was interested to see how this slim book differed. Actually Kissinger's book had more pictures of Parker and included both his and his mother's tombstones which were much discussed but never pictured in Gwynne's book. There was also more mention of his wives, including the first one that returned to her Apache tribe.

I had to keep reminding myself that this book was fiction because the information was in keeping with Gwynne's book although more for young adults.… (meer)
