Sam and Jessa's story involves fate, struggle, instincts, power, treachery, lust, romance, curl your toes intimacy, kidnapping, beating, the past & future, and heroes. Essentially put, the story will hold your interest and leave you begging for more. The story has good character development, storyline, and plot.

This book is the third book in the series. Though it can be read as a standalone, my advice is to read book 2 to get the full back history about Hazel and Cenek. In this book, Hazel's character is fairly well developed with a bit of back history supplied. Cenek's character development could use a little work. The reader gets little peeks into who he was prior to meeting Hazel and his somewhat role with the Sanford pride but not much else. The storyline covers the aftermath of Hazel's rescue and who was left behind. We finally meet Hazel's pride and gain an understanding about her desire to stay with the Sanfords. Hot steamy detailed mating is abundant - the author does a really good job with these sections. Oh my! Overall, I enjoyed the book as much as I've enjoyed the series up to this point... didn't want to put the book down once I started!

Ethan, an alpha lion who chooses to be with his fated mate. Lena, a human who is down on her luck finds herself confronted with her past. This book has some steamy scenes between Lena and Ethan. No in depth character development but the basics are covered. Decent storyline and plot. Jealousy drama thrown in for good measure.
