I loved reading about all of the blade lore! I truly thought Luca was a surprisingly good lead character especially with being disabled. The vast history and knowledge presented was truly enlightening. I will definitely be reading more of this author's work in the future.

As I was reading this book I kept forgetting that this book was self-published it is that good! See a big future in this writer. This world that he puts you in is so elaborate so visually, you have to find out what happens next. As of right now, it's free on amazon, so there is no reason not to read this book; and love it!

Sword from the Sky is a dark fairytale that appears to take place in the highlands long before the Scots arrived. It is a story of kings, princes and would be princes. The son or a Prince has been crippled from birth and is trying to become a true Prince. He and has father unfortunately run into every kind of evil there is. It has all the elements to keep your interest and to want to see what happens. A quick read and an adult fairytale that is well worth the read

An interesting story which I enjoyed. A lot of action with dark side protagonists. Keeps your interest.

I really liked this book because it wasn't like anything I've read before. It was refreshing to have a book that isn't strongly apart of one category or another; just simply a good read. R. Janvier del Valle is masterful writer without a doubt!

While the first few pages started out slow and really failed to draw me in I stuck with it and was truly glad I did. Soon I found myself reading with the kind of anticipation that only the best authors can create. The story was very well put together and the author manages to create an emotional connection between the reader and many of the characters in the book. An excellent read overall, I am looking forward to the second installment in 2013!

The first couple pages started out slow but then story of Luca started to pick up and turned into a really good story. Luca is the son of a prince in a land protected by sword fighters trained for many years to protect and serve the population. Luca also enters the training school but is different than anyone else there as he has an artificial lower leg. This story follows him and his friends along with his adult mentors and sword masters as they battle the forces of darkness in which the characters are very intertwined.
Very good story that I didn't want to put down and came to the end to find out I need to wait for the second book to find out what happens next. Will certainly be keeping a watch for that second book.
