This was a 3 in 1 kind of book for me, part informative educating about the U.S. Border Patrol, part biography/human interest, and part action. A fairly quick and easy read, yet still substantive enough to be satisfying. Then there are the extras he put in the book -- like the Path to Citizenship in Spanish and explaining the varieties of career opportunities in the Border Patrol (he was a medic) -- and all told in a down to earth, engaging way. Sadly, the author says he's "still searching for my definition of God," but that's just where he's at when the book was written.½
