Ultimately unsatisfying but interesting nonetheless. Written in a very elementary style. In the end the “secret” is not revealed because nobody has enough evidence. The authors theorize convincingly but not definitively who the person was that revealed the location of the secret annex where Anne Frank and her family were hiding.

To be fair, the book never purported to solve the mystery, just to indentfy and explore what is the last secret. But we already knew what the last secret was and that the person responsible has never been positively identified.

Still, it exonerates a number of people who have been accused since the Diary of Anne Frank was published.
