Wild is not the writer Shackleton was, but the book was still interesting enough. There are a number of inconsistencies in the book, but my biggest question was the voyage itself. There doesn't seem to be much point in the overall trip. I wonder if Shackleton had an inkling he might not survive the trip and just wanted to be in 'home' territory....
