Willy Wilkinson

Willy Wilkinson was born in the early 1960s in San Mateo, California. He is a graduate of UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies, and UC Berkeley with a Masters in Public Health in Community Health Education. His awards include the 2004 National Lesbian and Gay Journalists toon meer Association Excellence in Writing Award, the 2014 Transgender Law Center Claire Skiffington Vanguard Award, the 2015 Asian Pacific Islander Queer Women and Trans Community (APIQWTC), Phoenix Award, and the 2016 Lambda Literary Award for Transgender Nonfiction for his book, Born on the Edge of Race and Gender: A Voice for Cultural Competency (2015).
