If you’re looking for a paranormal story with a twist, then “Relics” is the best choice you could ever make. Ghosts, angels, demons, detectives who can talk to the dead – this novel has everything it needs to become an all-time favorite. The best part is that the author, Maer Wilson, has used the myths and legends of these paranormal beings in a unique, compelling way. No matter how many fantasy novels you’ve read until now, the twists in “Relics” will take you by surprise. The world Maer Wilson has created is original, complex, and intriguing. It’s a whole universe waiting to be explored.

Wilson's Ghost Memory is a fin, fast-paced read. Thulu and Fiona, college-age paranormal investigators on the hunt, are looking for money that was left behind behindwhen a ghost dies, not remembering where he hid it before his death.

Full of the charm of new discovery discovery and a great introduction to the characters featured in Wilson's Relics, this story will lead you to want more.

Thulu and La Fi are at it again. This time, though, the haunting starts out in their own home- the home they just inherited from a client who recently passed away. The new thing, this ghost isn't exactly trustworthy.

Wilson does an amazing job at creating a character that really irritated me. The ghost, Darla, is not someone I think anyone could easily like, and I have to applaud Wilson for managing to get that much emotion out of me with a short story.

Wilson's Relics is an entertaining read. While her making angels the bad guys and daemons the good guys isn't something new, she introduces us to a wonderful daemon, Jones. His wit is rather charming and he could charm the cassock off a priest.

La Fi and Thulu are both likeable as the paranormal investigators.

Fun read here.

Maer Wilson's Portals is a great follow-up in her Thulukan Chronicles series. The stakes are higher as the danger from other beings and humans themselves become a threat to Thulu and La Fi.

A fan girl like me will be happy to know that we learn a lot more about Jones. Still delicious. Still amazingly awesome.

In Relics, Wilson made me want to play with unicorns. Now, in Portals, she'd made me want to watch Light Ones fly.

If you can't tell, I'm a huge fan of this book and I can't wait for the next one.

'Ghostly page turner that you just can't put down'

I was giving a copy of this book for an honest review and what a nice book it was, read within a couple of hours. A big thanks Maer for giving me this opportunity once again to read your book, very enjoyable. As I stated in my review regarding the first book, I really do enjoy these type of stories of the supernatural, ghosts and spirits. This was brilliant, you get so involved in the characters. La Fi and Thulu are paranormal Detectives that can communicate between the dead and living, both work in an agency to find out why and who killed them. This is the follow on in the series of Ghost Memory and It was great meeting up with La Fi and Thulu once more, hopefully we will hear more regarding these two Detectives

Well done once again Maer, I can't wait to read more from you.

I’m going to admit, I have not finished RELICS, the book this short story is a prelude too. I Interviewed Maer for Bewitching Talk Radio having a cool conversation about the main novel and everything entailed within it. This short story, which released on Thursday, July 25th, takes place before RELICS while Fiona and her husband Thulu are finishing their final year of college.

Maer has a flair for shorts, I have only read the first half of the novel and have experienced her writing as something almost akin to blocking a show, which is not a surprise given her theatre background. She has very descriptive, which can be misleading at times when you are paying attention to detail in a mystery novel but I can definitely say I know exactly what everything looks like. She paints a picture with words and I really wish I lived in San Francisco in one of the old Victorians.

Arguably, and we did argue about this being a young adult read, this is a story that is not written for young adults but it is easily accessible to them and also because of the PG-13 rating I would easily give both this and the novel, I would easily think your teen would love and enjoy it, especially since this married couple is a very positive example of a healthy relationship!

It was a great introduction to the novel and gives you a great tease to #TeamThulukan, RELICS!

A few wonderful things I want to add: The short was professionally edited and formatted and this is evident. Th eBook is completely accessibility for all tablets, phones and online cloud readers and includes not only the first chapter but also all her social media links and even her awesome Book Trailer! Considering it is a short story, the evident love that was poured into a short story shows the passion the author has for her story and respect she has for her readers.

4.5 Stars

I had to take a bit off because of the over describing things that really did not need to be part of a short story, in my opinion! Go grab your copy today!
