This is a collection of toned-down and simplified stories of Arthur and his knights, intended for children. It's not bad, and it does place a great deal of importance on the Grail, which seems (to me) to be neglected in modern retellings and films that mostly focus on Merlin and the Arthur-Guenever-Lancelot mess. However, this book is a bit silly.

Uther has Merlin transform him into the Lord of Cornwall so that he can 'have dinner' with Ygraine. Vivian enchants Merlin because he's tired and she thinks he could use a good rest. Lancelot loves Guenevere, but in a completely platonic manor. Mordred doesn't come up even once.

So, the basics of Arthurian legend without explaining complicated issues like incest and betrayal and so on.½
