Am I allowed to just tell you to go read this, right now? Who needs reviews, just read it!
No? Okay...
She tastes like the fury of winter and the lust of spring.
Cherish is a continuation of Promise (which you can find included with your purchase of Cherish) and it is the kind of book that you have to read to understand. The characters are otherworldly in terms of looks, but they're also humbled, haunted, and have incredibly chemistry. You definitely have to read Promise to read Cherish, but I'll try to keep the spoilers to a minimum. After finally facing their dark and intertwining pasts Promise and Beckett have made a life together, finding comfort and love in their shared darkness and their shared joy. Their last goal is to get Promise's brother Jordan in a stable, happy environment and living with his newfound father seems like the best plan, until it isn't. Beckett must keep his promises and rescue Jordan from Cairo, giving him a better life and keeping Promise happy.
I've seen enough. Read enough. Felt it in the marrow of me. There is real evil in the world. The worst of it comes packaged inside those that promise to love and protect us the most.
Cherish is definitely a suspenseful romance, these two keep it hot between the sheets and anxiety-ridden on the streets. Cherish gives us so much more history into Promise than I expected and I loved that. I always wanted to know more about the ethereal beauty and Dani Wyatt hands it to readers on a silver platter. We also see Beckett face some of his demons, which I needed so much. He's always been the stronger character, putting past behind him and pushing for his wants, and it was nice to see him stumble and persevere. I love watching Promise and Beckett find acceptance in each other as well as face the twists that life throws at them. This is definitely a perfect example of characters giving it their all, fighting for their happiness, their freedom, and what is right.
I remember that deal I made with the devil the first time I kissed her, and he's come to collect. I am no longer who I was before her, and I'm not who I became with her. I'm no one. I've ceased to exist.
If you're looking for a quick read and some more Promise and Beckett, you must read Cherish. It's a hot, action-packed, sex-filled quickie that brings back to life some cherished characters.

I liked this story. I liked Ruby and Eli. They are opposites but Eli would do anything for Ruby. She knows this but does not take advantage of it which I liked. They have what they need. Her father is a piece of work. Her best friend is a mess. Eli tries to help her situation but neither the best friend nor her boyfriend is mature enough to do as Eli says. Lives are changed in this story--some better, others not so much.
Proofreading could have been better, but it won't stop me from reading the rest of the series.
