This book brought so many tears to my eyes. As soon as I started reading it, I was hooked and did not want to put it down. There were a few grammatical and spelling errors, but not enough to detract from the message that the author was conveying. This story took me on a tour through the Congo as well as the United States, and it was a rough ride indeed. My heart constantly wept for the main character, and I could imagine just how miserable she felt. The story really came alive for me, and I was reduced to tears a number of times. All in all, a great and poignant read.
