Ano Ano: The Seed is an inspirational work written and illustrated by Kristin Zambucka as a simple code by which man may aspire to control his conditions rather than live at their mercy.

In Ano Ano, an imaginary group of seekers asks questions and receives answers that give them hope.

It is to the "full cirlce" of the Hawaiians' spiritual journey that this book is dedicated...a literary tribute to their emergence from a long period of confusion that followed the introduction of religious teachings to Hawaii more than 150 years ago.

Highly advanced in their knowledge of human consciousness, the Hawaiian kahuna (priests) were already using such familiar symbols as the "tree," the "vine" and "mana, the water of life," when the missionary teachrs arrived.

These ancient symbols and Hawaiian figures appear in zambucha's mystical paintings illustrating clearly the real underlying theme of her profound, compelling work...the quest of all people everywhere...the meaning of life itself.

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, author/artist Kristin Zambucka has traveled throughout the world focusing especially on the Pacific area where she has recorded the faces, customs and history of hte Maori tribes of New Zealand, the Fijians, the Australian Aborigines and the Hawaiians. She has also done paintings of the Navajo and Sioux Indians during visits to the United States.

Zambucka's pastel studies have been widely exhibited and acclaimed and in combination with her perceptual writing style, form a fascinating aesthetic blend that brings both insight and luster to her subjects.
