- PitcherBooks: One of my favorite books. An original fairy tale and a good story about a cunning leprechaun, a lazy girl and her poor auld Granny. Love the cute, sepia-tone illustrations with the green of the leprechaun's clothes providing the only other color. Well done and effective. I particularly appreciate this book as it is difficult to find such appealing leprechaun illustration.

- PitcherBooks: The Leprechaun of Kilmeen must be the best of them! Clever, cunning and even kindly when needs be, you'll wonder how is he going to save himself and his gold as he gets into the most perilous predicaments that the human folk of Kilmeen can devise :-) A wonderful period read with intriguing background details from another century but still easy and enjoyable to read today. Totally enjoyable. Love this collection of O'Kelly's short stories and fairy-tales which includes By the Stream of Kilmeen (1906), Hillsiders (1909), and Waysiders: Stories of Connacht (1917), The Golden Barque and the Weaver’s Grave (1919); The Leprechaun of Kilmeen (1920). Seamus O'Kelly (Author/Playright, Ireland, 1881–1918).

- PitcherBooks: Only the Arthur Rackham illustrated edition! Seriously. There are any number of Stephen's Irish Fairy Tales editions. Rackham's magnificent artwork elevates the book far about any other edition or version of Stephen's book... Ten traditional tales of Irish heroes, kings, soldiers, magicians, poets, and madmen. - PitcherBooks: Patricia Lynch (Author. Ireland, 1894-1972) wrote 12 Brogeen the Leprechaun books spanning from 1947 to 1964. Only some made it to the US. I have five and enjoy some of the books more than others but would still recommend them to most leprechaun lovers. Cute, light, easy reading with illustrations.

- PitcherBooks: Well done retelling of an old Irish tale with gorgeous art by Ted Nasmith. King Ethal cast a spell on his daughter, Caer, to prevent her from marrying a mortal. She must spend every other year in the form of a swan. Fine by her... until she falls in love with Aengus strolling upon the shore of her lake home. What's a swan-girl to do?

- PitcherBooks: True confession. Bought this one simply because Wayne Anderson is one of my favorite illustrators. A 'guide' to leprechauns in the same vein as Froud's Faeries or Nuygen & Poortvliet's Gnomes. Not my fave of Wayne's but still like it.
