I've been a devoted reader since I emerged from the womb clutching a copy of "Alice Through the Looking Glass" and complaining that the rest of my books had been left behind. At the age of 12, the notion that I should write a book seized hold of me; it has never let go. Currently, I wander the streets of 15th century Rome, shadowing a young woman with a propensity for killing people--but only those who deserve it.

I am the author of historical novels set in Renaissance Italy and featuring Francesca Giordano, a young woman who is a professional poisoner in service to the House of Borgia. The first, POISON, will be published by St. Martin's Press in 2010.
