- Over mijn bibliotheek
- My library? My library currently consists of about 400 books... I just moved and did some weeding. The majority are fiction (contemporary, fantasy-adventure, sci-fi, classics, short stories, mysteries) but there's a dose of history, religion and philosophy mixed in. I try to keep everything I read (I only get rid of them if I absolutely hated them) and do my best to lend books out. It hurts a little every time I do it because I'm afraid they might not come home. I force myself to lend them anyway because of a lovely little book by Carlos Ruiz Zafon called The Shadow of the Wind. Zafon suggests that each book has a soul which is shaped and nourished by those who read it - I would be neglecting my books development if I didn't lend them out!
- Over mij
- These days I work for the State of Oregon, attend the University of Washington's Ischool online and practice my hermit-ry skills... I do my best not to leave my house when I don't have to. Although I currently live with my husband and only two cats, I fully expect to become the crazy cat lady from The Simpsons before I die.
