What can I say? It contains everything from classics to comedy, but I only keep books I know I will re-read. Recently I acquired all the Virginia Lanier novels and the ones of Dorothy Gilman's I didn't have. And one small bite at a time I'm reading Madeleine L'Engle's SHE, short meditations on writing.

After writing twenty mysteries in twenty years, I recently left one trapeze for another and wrote my first women's mainstream novel, HOLD UP THE SKY. I hope my mystery readers will give it a chance. It deals with four women in the midst of four crises who spend a summer together and discover that their strength lies not in independence, as they each had thought, but in interdependence.
