Over mijn bibliotheek
I have way more books than anybody would ever want to comfortably help me move from one house to another. The subjects run the gamut of non-fiction to fiction, from science to philosophy, religion, memoirs, you name it. I have a couple hundred books on "how to write" and probably as many various types of "encyclopedias".

There's also a large number of comic books occupying a rather big chunk of closet space in my bedroom.

I tend to read many books at once, something I attribute to my ADHD. When I'm writing, I read less, and vice versa. Once I find an author I like, I tend to read very deeply into his or her oeuvre.
Over mij
I'm a professional award winning author of novels and short stories. My work has been published world wide. I live in British Columbia, Canada.

Joyce Carol Oates listed my story, MY LAME SUMMER JOURNAL BY BRANDON HARRIS GRADE 7 in The Best American Mystery Stories 2005 as one of the top 50 most distinguished mystery stories published that year.

Diana Gabaldon, New York Times bestselling author of the OUTLANDER saga, said this about that same story: "Not only a gripping story with an authentic voice, but a marvelous technical feat, combining three separate stories taking place simultaneously. By turns funny, touching, and horrifying; a beautiful job."

Jack Whyte, bestselling author of the UTHER series of books, said this about my story BUT NOT FORGOTTEN: "A wonderful story, beautifully executed. The isolation of old age is there, and so is the invisibility and facelessness of old age in the eyes of youth. Charlie, the protagonist, is a wonderful and convincing character."

I won the prestigious Surrey International Writer's Conference Storyteller Award two years running (2004 & 2005).

My story, THE SIGNATURE OF GOD appeared in the DAW anthology INTELLIGENT DESIGN (Denise Little, editor). Stories published in other DAW anthologies include: DUST in HAGS, SIRENS, AND OTHER BAD GIRLS OF FANTASY (Denise Little, editor), and the two shorts FAVIO DEMARCO and THE HYPERBOLE ENGINE in COSMIC COCKTAILS (Denise Little, editor).
