Fern and Kiria were walking around on the beach shore. It was lazy day.

Fern was ticked.

Fern ran down the beach her heart pounding she looked behind her. Nathan was still there.

Vicky was ina hurry, she didn't notice the girl running, looking terrified. She bumped into her.
"Whoa, Sorry..."

"It's cool gotta go!" Fern said recovering and running.

Vicky saw he fear in her eyes and then she saw Nathan . She snorted obviously Jasper didn't hit him hard enough before, that weirdo was still harassing her.
She turned and caught up to Fern
"Your safer with me than alone, Nathan a pig but he's also a coward, why else would he target innocent loners... no offense"

"Wish I could agree I was an innocent loner that didn't matter." Fern muttered.
"Uh thanks for helping me." She said breathing in a fresh flood of air.
Nathan got closer Fern sped up.

Vicky sighed, realising she probably hurt her feelings. Why were girls so sensitive? or why wasn't she?
"look that came out wrong..." but it was true, Fern didn't hang out with many people. She looked back at Nathan, who was getting closer, was it because of him? Was he scaring people away from her?
"Uh thanks for helping me" Fern said.
Vicky smiled, "Anything for a friend of J's"

Fern smiled.
"I'm sorry I took that too seriously. I'll explain when he gives up." Fern said smiling.
Then the brilliant idea took place. Fern slowed down a little bit, Nathan sped up. Nathan was inches away and Fern hit the ground and Nathan tripped. Fern felt blood roll down her shoulder. She stood up painful and put her boot heel into Nathan's back.
"Illegal weapons?" She asked taking his blade.
"Guilty as charged." He muttered.
"I know you know my secrete, if that's what your after flattering and stalking what get you anywhere." Fern hissed coldly in his ear. She kicked him so he rolled down the beach.

Vicky stared at Fern. She smiled.
"I have to say, I'm impressed. I didn't figure you for much of a fighter"
She looked down at Nathan who was rolling down the beach.
"Its like he wants to get beaten up."

"It's cool." Fern said

Vicky turned and looked at her Her eyebrows raised,
"Cool that he wants to get beaten up or cool as in drop it?"

"Cool as in drop it." Fern said.

Vicky nodds. A little surprised, she's feistier than I thought. She smirked, maybe we'll get along after all...

A lanky 14 year old boy calls her name.
She Groans and turns to face him.
He stares at her with that creepy loving stare they all give her.
"I was ju..." he began to say.
She cut him off, "NO and the answer will always be no. Beat it before I have to BEAT you"
He beamed at her before walking off to his friends, no doubt to brag about their 'amazing' conversation.

Vicky let out a frustrated sigh.

"I'm glad I'm not the only one. So uh your friends with Tanner? he's so sweet and nice, he's a good friend." Fern said smiling.

Vicky smirked at her. Tanner huh?
"Yeah, he's great but sweet and nice? That doesn't sound like friend material..." she said smiling, one eyebrow raised.

Fern turned pale.. she thought tanner was nice but not B.F nice... er i guess that was the thought for now.....
"No, no, no, no!" She said quickly.

"I believe you, Tanner's great." She looked at her curiously. Was she still carrying a touch for Jasper?

Fern smiled. This vicky chick was cool.

"Yeah, I uh used to get that." fern said darkly, painfully remembering things.

Vicky sighed, Fern didn't get it,did she want this? Vicky hated it, stupid Aphrodite.
She smiled,
"Fern I'm sure you still get that, you gorgeous"

"That's the thing, all I've gotten is, 'Fern omg your my is so pretty!' 'Fern you're so lucky to have your mom! She's a model!' I've always had that. I always get people saying that I have my mom's looks."

Vicky looked at her.
"You don't look like your mom at all." She smiles
"You look like your dad, very manly" She gasps.
"Are you a man?"
She laughs.
"Well don't worry about it, its not a big deal. At least you know your mom"

Amber comes over to join her friend's conversation.

"I met my mom. She's not as great as everyone thinks. Or not as great as she thinks she is. I mean, she's gorgeous. But she only cares about herself and a few of her precious children. Shocker, I'm not one of them." Amber finishes her sentence in bitter sarcasm.

Vicky bit her lip holding back her anger. Fern could never know how she felt. And she could never know how Fern felt. There was no point argruing.

She just shruggs, noticing a new girl.
"Hey" she smiles thankful for the interruption

"I can relate to that." Fern said smiling.

Amber gives a half-smile. She had come over here to release the tension, because she hated when people fought.

Vicky smiled back, this girl was just as uncomfortable as she was.
"Your Amber right?"

Fern dropped it. "So Vic who do ya live w/??"

"Me? Oh the Ares Cabin, nothing really special. I just going to meet up with the guys at the lake actually.."

"I don't know where to go. I mean I can't stay here forever. I still want to learn mortal stuff."

"I've lived here all my life... I figure I'll stay and help..."

"Well one things for sure I'm not becoming a model." Fern said shivering.

Vicky chuckled
"More like SWAT team for you"

"I've called and they said I have to go to college." Fern said crossly.

"I don't know..I hate court rooms..oh I could be a prison guard!" She said happily. "So Vicky, when did you get here?"

She turned began walking towards the lake, the guys wrer waiting.
"You coming? Tanner will be there..." she laughed

Vicky chuckled.
She walked to lake, she could see them, Spencer, Tanner, Jasper.
She crept up behind Jasper and jumped on him, putting her hands over his eyes.
"Miss me?"
Jasper laughed.Prying her hands off his eyes.

She was still on his back. He chuckled. Grabbing her legs soo she couldn't escape, he ran to lake and threw her in.
She screamed.

Fern laughed and helped Vicky out of the water.

She marched right up to Jasper, who was cowering behind Tanner.
"Hey Jaspy, can I have a hug?" she asked sweetly, leaping on him.
"Ahh get off me woman!" he yelled getting soaked.

Tanner walked up to Fern, watching Vicky wrestle Jasper on the ground.
"There cute together aren't they?"

"Yeah, are they dating?" Fern asked, all the sudden she went on an emotional rollercoaster. Happy, sad, mad, and then love.

Tanner chuckled, was she jealous?
"Not yet."

Fern read his mind.
"You're really transparent. And no i'm not jealous." She said folding her arms.

He laughed.
"Ok then"

Jasper and Vicky walked up to them, big smiles on their faces.
Jasper smiled at Fern.
"Hey Fern, Whats up?"

"Nothing really, what about you?" She asked.

He smiled, she seemed ok. Good, he was worried about her.
"Nothing really, pest control" he said looking at Vicky. She laughed, hitting him in the shoulder.
"You know you hit like a minotaur right?"
She smiled

Fern smiled. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure Nathan wasn't standing there.
"Tanner how have you been doing?" Fern asked.

Tanner smiled.
"I'm good, worrying about you though, you should hang out with us more you know, Nathan can't get you near us, I'll protect you"

Fern blushed.
"You mean that?"

"Duh!"
Jasper nods ina agreement, so does vicky.

"Ah crap" says vicky noticing a boy coming towards her. Tanner and Jasper snicker.

He a guy from Ares, he walks confidently over to her, his eyes full of lust.
"Hey beauti...."
"Oh Hades no!" she yells, "What are you ? Sick? I'm your half sister! NO! Just get out of my sight right now! "
He grins at her before walking off.

Fern tried not to laugh.
"If you;re going to make jokes, go over to the APhrodite girls over there." Said a cold voice that Fern knew all to well.
"Jason." SHe said not daring to turn around.

Tanner stepped in front of Fern. He had heard all about Jason.
So had Vicky, she walk up to him, smiling.
"You must be Jason I've heard soo much about you"

Fern didn't know what they were doing. She had to move, he was Zeus's kid, and she needed to stop him she turned around pushed her friends back.
"Hey charmer, what do you want?" Fern asked.
"Mom died last month, didn't she? Little accident?" He snarled.
"At least I don't kill my own kind."

Vicky ignored Fern, she didn't need protection. She eyed Jason curiously.
"You know if I didn't know better I'd say you were a little obsessed with Fern here" she cocks her head "Why?"

Jason knew just how t get on anybody's kill list.
"You Vicky, Ares kid, lived her your life, best friends with-" He paused in disgust, "Jasper, you fet attention from guys, good fighter, and I'd love to try to see you take me down." He snickered.
"Jason what do you want?" Fern asked giving Vicky a look.

Vicky smirked, this guy didn't know anything.
She whispered into his ear.
"Trust me I wouldn't have to try"
She took a step back beside Fern

"Vic, you don't know what you're dealing with." Fern hissed in her ear.
"She's right Vicky. But uh to answer your question Fern might as well have sold her soul to me when she put up that-" he paused to see the stunned faces (except Fern's), "You don't know what she is?"
"Shut up Jason." SHe said tapping her foot.
"Fern's a rare deal, sure she's APollo's kid but she's blessed by Zeus. I blessed her. She didn't know until I tracked her down."

Tanner looked at him impatiently
"Sooo?"

"It means she belongs to me, I guess that's the best simplest way to put it." He said grinning.
Fern had tears in her eyes. They knew, they'd hate her.

Jasper looked at her.
"Is that true? "
He looked at Jason
"For how long?"

"The day she left, and that's when she was weak. You see I threatened to kill you if she didn't leave."

Jasper glares at him.
"Why her?"

"Isn't it obvouise? She has some uh special powers. This is that part where you say why would you sell your soul for me smartie." Jaosn said glaring st Jasper. "And you!" He shouted pointing at Tanner. "Don't tell me you like her." He growled.

Tanner fumed. "I don't have to tell you anything"
Jasper was looked at Fern, worried, was she still the same girl he loved last summer, why did she do it..
"Why would you do it Fern, did he threaten you?"

"Because Jasper, we were dating! I was forced to leave, he said he'd kill if I didn't I sold him my soul in return for your safety!" Fern said turning to face him.
"And in return to her you give her nothing but heart ache." Jason chimmed in.

Jasper groaned. Why did she have to worry, Jason could try and kill him she didn't need to care.
"You shouldn't have agreed Fern, you can't trust Jason, if he wants to try and kill me he will...."
He looked at her sadly.
"I'm not worth the pain" He glared at Jason.
"Being with him isn't worth all the souls in Hades"

Fern looked down.
"You all might like to know that you can save her." jason said jumping down from the rock.

"How?" Tanner asks timidly

"How?" Tanner asks timidly

"You have to go and get the shackles that I've hidden oh so cleverly. but one of you will have to give me a different soul." He snarled.

Vicky frowned at him.
"Why do want another soul?" she asked curiously.

"Oh I don't want another soul, it's apart of the soul trade. I would simply keep Fern if it wasn't that she still had a man who loved her. If i'm not mistaken two." He said scanning the crowd.

Jasper noticed Tanner blush a little. He wondered who the other guy was...

"Aw so you actually have a heart. Pity it's made of stone" Vicky snarled at him.

"Happy hunting." Jason said as he disappeared.

Jasper kicked a stone into the lake.
"Seriously what is with that guy and treasur hunts?"
Vicky went over and put her hand on his arm.
"Don't worry I know place better than anyone, We'll find it"
Tanner chipped in
"And the soul?"

Vicky looked at Fern.

"A soul for a soul. it's trade, like someone gives him their soul in exchange for mine. Then whoever the person who forced the soul to be given to Jason, well I'm their slave then."

"Wait so your not actually going to be free? And neither will the other person? "

"Well yeah i guess but I'd be anybodies slave. The person who forces the soul's slave."

Vicky looked confused.
"So let me get this straight. Jason owns your soul. To free your soul from Jason you must give him another soul. So Jason will own that person but then that person will own you?"
She was mad.
"Thats ridiculous! Jason still has you then!"

"No, no. Some one has to find a soul give it to Jason in return he gives me to the person."

"oh.." She nodded in understanding.
"Lets just find the shackles first,shall we?" said Tanner.
Jasper looked at Fern." any ideas?"

"You arent gonna like it." She said shifting her feet. "It's on Zeus's chair."

Vicky laughed.
"Ok then, your blessed by Zeus aren't you? Go get it"

"It means that i am a slave to his kids. we need a Cara." SHe said.

"Cara? You mean a Zeus kid?"

"Jason's sister yeah."

Jasper nods.
"I'll go get her, stay here. "
"I'll come too." Tanner adds

Vicky sighs, Jasper was right Fern was a trouble magnet

Fern was annoyed. She didn't need protection.
"I can't believe this."

"Really Fern? You got yourself in this mess. They're trying to get you out of it. Why did you do it? You Jasper can take care of himself."

Fern looked directly in Vicky's eyes.
"None of you know what you're dealing with. I pray to Zeus that you won't, it's above you and out of your hands." She said in a deadly cold, harsh tone.

Vicky just shruged. Fern didn't scare her.
"Sorry your highness"

Fern had, had enough. She cursed as she walked away and ran to catch up with the guys.
"Hey." She said meeting up with them.

Fern looked mad. Jasper saw Vicky still standing where she left her, a little smirk on her face. Oh dear.
"You ok?" he asked.

"Fine!" She said through gritted teeth.

Tanner chuckled.
"Your a terrible liar, what did Vicky do.."

"Frankly I don't like being called a princess, Tanner." SHe snapped, "sorry," she said blushing.

Jasper snorted.
"She called you a princess? "

"Sorry your highness," She quoted. "But that doesn't matter. I don't need this whole freedom thing."

Jasper smiled.
"Sorry, sometimes Vicky can be brutally honest..."
Tanner finnish his sentance
"She's got the sensitivity of a stone"
Jasper shot him a warning look.

"It's not that either, it's the fact that i can take care of myself, and here ya are treating me like a child." She said he British accent coming on.

Jasper looked at her thoughfully.
"If you can take care of yourself. Why are you always in danger? huh?" he snaped.
"Jasper" Tanner said ina warning tone

"You don't know the half of it!" She said in an annoyed tone.

Jasper put his hands up in surrender.
"Your right, I don't. Wonder whose fault that is.."
Tanner snapped
"stop it J"

"That was different Jasper with Kiria!" Fern said coldly.

Jasper just shook his head.
"I'm going to check on Vicky"
He stomped off.

Tanner remand quiet

"Sorry, Tanner, I really am." She said quitly.

He smiled sadly
"Its ok. Don't be mad at Jasper, this isn't easy for him."

"Why not? I seems like he doesn't care." She said stopping and looking at Tanner.

Tanner sighs
"When you left, it was pretty hard on him, he thought you ran away, he was hurt, he liked you a lot. It took him a long time to be happy again, first few months all he did was mopp. Then slowly he got better, happier, he was finally getting over you. Him and Vicky were starting to get along great. He accepted that you left. And then, you suddenly appear. Everything he thought was a lie, you didn't run away, you were taken away. He doesn't know how to act or feel. Your telling all these brave, loving things you did for him and he...feels guilty"

"It doesn't help that he think I get myself in this crap on purpose." SHe muttered. "The funny thing is, I don't love him anymore. I can't."

"Why?"

"I don't know, I just don't." She said looking straight at him.

Tanner nods.
"If it helps, I think he feels the same"

"One good thing that's happened today!" She sighed.

Tanner chuckled.
"Not the only good thing"

"right the only good thing." She smiled and looked in his eyes.

"I'm here remember?" he smiled

Fern blushed and looked down not knowing what to do.

Tanner chuckled, Fern was too adorable.

Fern drew a line in the sand with her toe. She looked up and smiled.

"I'm glad you came back Fern"

"I'm glad I did to." She said

He smiled, blushing slightly.

Fern had a thought, "come on, i wanna show you something." She said taking his hand and leadin him to the strawberry feilds.

Tanner followed her, curious.

Fern walked into the forest along the edge. They walked for ten minutes until they came to a water fall. A rainbow was made at the bottum of the mist.
"Make a wish." She said smiling.

Tanner smiled, forming a wish in his mind.

Fern smiled, she realized she was still holding his hand.

Tanner blushed slightly, he didn't let go.

"What did you wish for?" She asked smiling. She put her head on his shoulder.

Tanner smiled, wrapping his arm around her.
"If I tell you it mighten happen"

Fern smiled looking up at him.
"Please?" She asked.

He sighed, leaning in, putting a hand on her cheek.
"I guess I can show you.."
He kissed her

It was a beautiful moment. When the kiss ended Fern was smiling.
"Told you it would come true." She said.

He smiled.
"Did yours?"

Fern blushed even more.
"Yeah."

Tanner kissed her again.

Fern blessed again.
"You know if you're going to do that again, you're gonna have to ask me a question." She said smiling.

Tanner smiled,
"Depends on what the answer will be"

She smiled at him.
"So what's your answer?"

He smiled
"Yes please?"

"Yes!" She said putting her arms around his neck in a hug."

He hugged her back.

Fern was happy again.
"Can you keep a secrete?" She whispered.

"of course"

"I'm not really Apollo's daughter." She said her smile faded.

Tanner frowned. Ok he was confused. Did he hear her right?
"What?"

"Look, I'm kinda Poisden's kid. Chiron doesn't want anyone to know."

Tanner stared at her.
"Then why did you lie about being Apollo's?"

"Because I'm in danger. AT All times." She said epazing the All times.

"Why? You're not the only poisdon kid.."

"Because I-got-I uh-I" I lost my words.

Tanner waited for more.

"Really Bad Prophecy!" SHe said quickly.

"What did it say?"

"It doesn't matter!"

Tanner stared at her

Fern began crying.

Tanner felt terible. He hugged her.
"No don't cry, please don't cry."

Fern couldn't help it. The more she thought of it the more she felt like she was living it again.

Tanner huged her harder.

Fern shuddered.
"I'm sorry." SHe whipsered.

He smiled sadly.
"It's ok, we'll get through it"

Fern looked up.
"I won't." SHe said in a deadly quite voice.

Tanner blinked, he must of misheard her

"I'm not going to live past twenty." SHe said pulling away.

Tanner looked at her
"Seriously? How do you know that?"

"Oracle." She said under her breath.

"Are you thats what it said, you could mistaken, oracle's never make sense"

"The chances are very slim." She said turning her back on him.

"I'll take those chances" he said taking her hands

Fern looked up into his eyes. Everything was blury from tears.

He smiled wiping her tears away.

Fern smiled back.
"I'm sorry that i worried you."

"You didn't it's ok"

Fern smiled again.
"You have really nice eyes." She said.

Tanner grabbed her and pulled her down, taking cover

Another arroow flew, Tanner stood up bursting it into flames and looking for shooter

Fern backed away, she didn't know who to be more terrified of, Tanner or the shooter. She felt as if she was going to pass out. Then she could just see black.

The shooter sat with another arrow notched.

Tanner finally saw the shooter, his eyes blazed as he sent a fire ball in it's direction, hitting the shooter square in the chest

The shooter turned and disappeared. Fern had passed out on the hard rocky ground.

Tanner went to touch her but he knew he was too hot ((LOL))

"Fern? wake up"

Fern didn't wake up, she was still in her nightmare.

"I'm taking you to cabin ok? It's allways empty during the day, we're usually in the forge at this time."

He brought her inside, it was empty like he thought. He lay her on a bed and pulled a blanket over her.

"Tanner, what's gonna happen to me?" She asked her eyes swelling with tears.

He stroked her face. "Nothing, I promise."

"Okay." She said taking his hand.
