Use this thread to share details of any UK book events you know of - local or national.

I`ll make a start - here`s www.lowdhambookfestival.co.uk.

For some reason, my links never work well, but that`s the site address anyway.

I love going to literature festivals and the one near me is the Durham Literature Festival - always good fun.

The South Bank Centre in London seems to have bucked its ideas up about putting on literature events. I have been to see Hanif Kureishi and Peter Carey speak there so far this year, and I know Salman Rushdie and Isabel Allende have passed through too. They are promising a London Literature Festival in July.

Don't think I'm going to make it to Hay-on-Wye this year. I went for the first time in 2006 and thought I might possibly have died and gone to book lovers' heaven.
