A short book for a short month, feel free to leave a comment.

Based on LibraryLover23's description, "short book," I decided to request it from my library. It took longer for the book to arrive than it did for me to finish it. The first three quarters was good stuff. Not crazy about the odd conclusion/ending. Overall, a good read. It's about baseball, and reading this a few weeks after the New England Patriots lost the AFC Championship game made this a "cheer-me-up" book. Heard on the radio this morning Red Sox Pitchers and catchers are reporting in for Spring Training!

I'm still trying to track down a copy of Blockade Billy. Baseball is my favorite sport.

Have you found Blockade Billy yet? I was surprised how quickly it arrived for me when I requested it via inter-library loan. That was a nice read.

I was looking for my next book a few days ago, and checked to see if May's 11/22/63 was available in my library. It was so thick I decided to just go ahead a check it out! I am glad I did. It's a good old science fiction time-travel story - so far anyway.

I went ahead and ordered Blockade Billy from Amazon so I'm just waiting for it to arrive!

I already got 11/22/63. I can't wait to start it because I've heard so many good things about it.

I didn't really like this one. The stories were a little predictable to me, and at this point I have begun to expect more from Mr. King!

Read it when it first came out, remember thinking it was OK but not particularly great. Probably because I'm a Brit and therefore have no interest in baseball (cue lots of pro-baseball comments!)

I listened to this one on audiobook and thought it was great in that format. Since the story was of an old man telling the tale directly to Stephen King (and therefore to me, listening along) I thought it worked really, really well.

>7 BuffaloPhil: I wondered what someone who doesn't know or care much about baseball would think of it, I imagined it wouldn't be much!

It's included in his newest book of stories and as I really don't care about baseball I skimmed a lot of it.

>8 LibraryLover23: I just finished it as part of The Bazaar of Bad Dreams and while I'm fairly aware of the rules and such of baseball, I don't care for it. I wasn't always paying a lot of attention during the play by play of the game (which sometimes resulted in being confused about who "he" was for the moment), but I don't think it turned me off to the story overall.
