Went to the group page and lo and behold we're on the list for most active talk, BOOYA! I dunno, little things like this amuse me because I didn't really expect this group to go anywhere besides making some of my friends join, then the group dying off once they stopped pretending to care and buggered off (which they have:P). Same thing with the dots, having members all over Europe and North America really impresses me.

Low standards? Maybe. But I still think it's cool nonetheless.

Now if only this would help me land one of those Early Reviewers books...

Haha, being shot down by the man who runs the site himself, nice.

What if I guaranteed that I would write as in-depth of a review for whatever you give me as I can? I would write reviews normally except that, for the most part, the books I have on here are read out of recreation and I am just looking to enjoy them rather than critically analyze them. I just figured you wouldn't want dozens of "Yeaaaaaaah, it was a pretty sweet book. Kinda rough in the beginning but once I got into it I really enjoyed it" two-line purposeless reviews all over the place. But if I were to have something, an Early Reviewers book per se, that I am to go into with an analytical mindset rather than one of enjoyment, I'm sure I could whip up something nice for ya.

Way to go, Mr Dustin - all kudos to you for making this a fun place to hang out!

And I wish I could get an Early Review book too, but it's not available to the UK yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that changes soon...

So what do you have to do around here to get an Early Review book? I've been writing reviews here and there, trying to build up my count. Will that help?

You have to register here:
http://www.librarything.com/er/signup

At the moment they'll only send books to registered members in Canada and USA over 13 years old. As someone living all the way over on the other side of the Pond in Scotland, I'm not eligible to get one at this point, although I've registered so that if they expand I can try my hand...

Just ask a buddy in the states to send you your early reviewer book. This month there aren't as many available though, so everybody's chances are slimmer . . .
