My parish is doing a six-part read of Laudato Si'. So I'm going to be reading Chapter 1 for next Sunday.

If anyone wants to join me, and comment on it, I'd love to hear it. (We already read the Intro.)

I read it when it first came out. I'll be happy to read it again (I found it an inspiring document) and comment, but I'll probably be on some dodgy internet connections until the end of the month as I'll be spending some time at Holly Trinity Peace Village in a pretty remote part of South Sudan. They do have a satellite internet link, but...

Hello, gentlemen, I think this would have been a good discussion; I would love to have attended a parish discussion group, although I have a sense it's very hard for most people to express questions or concerns about an Encyclical. I have a copy, and recently lent it to a friend, but he returned it and left town for winter in FL without discussing it. Any chance you'd try to reopen this "talk?"
Could you comment on what you see are the main goals or objectives, or perhaps it's possible the Pope is satisfied in expressing his strong concern and urging dialogue between the nations and religions?
