I'm thinking of a word that rhymes with ermine

Lawd ah mercy, it's cold outside!

How did you, um figure that out? (low seventies here!)

Can I get a ruling on how we're pronouncing 'ermine' in this context? I've heard with a long i and a short one, and I'm not sure how things sound up there in Jenni-land (also known affectionately as America's Hat). :-)

I sure have a big smile on my face thinking of Canada as America's Toque, though.

guess: I suppose ermines might be too uncommon, or even too large, to be referred to by this term for noxious pests.

Merry everything! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. I've been hanging out with family, eating, drinking, and playing board games. Apart from a daily walk, the only aerobic workout I've had this week is putting on my compression socks!
