Hello there. Just joined today. I was hoping to discuss Adams' books and assorted media with other fans, but I'm not sure since this group doesn't appear to be very active. Still...if anyone is interested, please post or email me! Thanks!

Welcome to LT!

Have you any specific DNA questions you wanted to ask? themes to discuss?

I think we'll all agree that they are very good!

Well, I just finished rereading "Salmon of Doubt" on my Palm Pilot. I liked that it was such a hodge podge of his work, and the way it was laid out gave you a feeling of where he got some of his ideas and methods from. Have you read it? It made me sort of sad at the end though that he never got to finish writing the actual novel bit though. :(

Also, hubby just said he found "Starship Titanic" in novel form for MobiPocket. But the interview I read said he'd developed it as a video game because he wanted to do something just for that medium - sort of an interactive novel. So I don't really see how it could be a novel. Did he do that or did someone come after him and recreate it as a novel. I wanted to get the game, but I don't know if it would work on my computer...

Also, what does everyone think of the different versions of HHGTTG? I liked the new version though I think the BBC is still my favorite. I didn't mind it being different too much, well yes I did. But I still liked it (except for the creepy part with the guy's head walking on the table and taking off Zaphod's head - ew). I thought there were lots of good philosophical points in all the versions, as well as the Dirk Gently novels...
