Putting the "con" in "conservative"

So, Steve Bannon and three others have been indicted for running a scam called "We Build the Wall". Apparently there's $25 million worth of people out there stupid enough to give money just to these guys... there's no telling how much went to others running the same scheme.

Of course, this makes me think, if conservatives are so desperate to throw their money away, it's going to be hard for them to argue that taxes are too high in the next congressional session.

(Anyone interested in a little side bet on how long before it comes out that Trump was in line for a cut of that scheme?)

Again: "Steve Bannon charged with money laundering, conspiracy in 'We Build the Wall' fundraising fraud case" | NBC News
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/former-trump-adviser-steve-bannon...

Bannon is accused of laundering $140,000 of the money donors to the scheme were told would go only to construction and not to the salary of We Build the Wall's president.

Then a White House aide, Bannon was one of the 143 people pardoned on the last day of Donald Trump's presidency for similar charges.

However, as NBC reports, "Presidential pardons only apply to federal cases, meaning New York is not prohibited from pursuing similar charges."

Stop the Steal’ Organizer Apologizes After Being Accused of Asking Teen Boys for D*ck Pics

On Friday night, Alexander—who was questioned by the House January 6th Committee about his role organizing a canceled rally dubbed the “Wild Protest” outside the Capitol, which drew crowds to the building right before the riot began—issued a statement Friday offering a general apology.

“I apologize for any inappropriate messages sent over the years,” Alexander wrote, adding later, “When I’ve flirted or others have flirted with me, I’ve flexed my credentials or dropped corny pick up lines. Other times, I’ve been careless and should’ve qualified those coming up to me’s (sic) identities during flirtatious banter at the start.”

In the scheme, prosecutors accuse Santos of running a credit card fraud scheme using his political donors' credit cards, while also allegedly attempting to scam the national Republican Party.

"Santos is charged with stealing people's identities and making charges on his own donors' credit cards without their authorization," said U.S. Attorney Breon Peace in a statement Tuesday.

Trump Personally Targets ‘Psycho’ Forbes Reporter Who Covered His Declining Wealth, Lies About His Finances

I hereby demand a full apology from the failing Forbes Magazine, and their third rate psycho writer, Dan Alexander, for the many false and libelous articles they have written about me, and for the cooperation they have given to the Racist and Incompetent A.G. of New York State, Peekaboo James,” Trump raged on Truth Social. “You see, Forbes is owned by the Communist Chinese Government, and China will do anything to stop MAGA. Forbes, a Globalist “Rag,” is a propaganda play against TRUMP. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Because Trump couldn't walk into the sunset like every other president has always done after an administration has ended, he has completely destroyed his presidential legacy. And now he is in the process of destroying the Trump empire, too. The long-term "billionaire" con game has forever been relegated to the garbage heap by Forbes. Fate is a b*tch, and DJT set it all into motion himself.

Or maybe better said 'had' because his business empire is about to get a major haircut.

New York House Republican lawmakers plan to introduce a measure to have Rep. George Santos (R-NY) expelled from Congress over his new criminal charges.

Previously, the six lawmakers voted in May along with the rest of the GOP to defer the issue of dealing with Santos to the House Ethics Committee. Santos, 35, now faces a total of 23 criminal charges.

>10 Molly3028: There’s another Republican who’s running for POTUS who has 91 (a higher number than 23) felony charges over 4 (not just 1) separate indictments. While they’re at it they might include him on their shit list as not fit for the job. Seems like a double standard if they don’t.
