Hi- This group is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm writing an article about the personal events that were going on in Fitzgerald's life that he used in The Great Gatsby- issued with money, ambition and adultery. Is there anyone who could answer questions for me or can direct me to the right expert?

Jennifer - sorry I haven't read enough about Fitzgerald to be able to help you. I've read his letters which I love, and have 2-3 biographies in my collection unread. Also read Shelah Grahams books about their relationship which I have enjoyed.

A good place to start is with two Matthew Bruccoli books - Some Sort of Epic Grandeur, the standard biography of Fitzgerald, and The Great Gatsby:A Literary Reference, which is an in-depth analysis of all aspects of the novel.
