The Folio Book of Humorous Anecdotes 2005

This is the perfect beside book as it contains amusing bon-motes that vary in size from a paragraph to a couple of pages. As you settle into bed, pick up the book, read a few pages, then settle back to sleep with a gentle smile on your face as you contemplate the anecdotes you have just read.

Arranged into 24 different categories, these tales cover royalty, travel, work, the church and even death in an amusing way, and come from amazingly diverse sources, centuries and locations.

There are 58 black and white illustrations by Nick Hardcastle integrated into the text and there is an eight page introduction by Edward Leeson. The xiv + 272 page book is bound in pale green cloth, printed on the cover and spine in brown with a design by Nick Hardcastle. The endpapers are a very pale green and the 23.1x15.2cm. slipcase is plain mid-brown.
