Lag time between titles being added & appearing in Android app

I have had a member reach out about an issue they are having with the Android app. They add titles, by scanning barcodes or typing in ISBNs, and the books immediately appear in their catalog on the website, but don't appear in the catalog on the app for some days. They also report that the app crashes after every few titles added. I have been able to verify the former, but not the latter.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Log into the "purplecookydream" account on the Android app

2. Tap "Add to Catalog"

3. Scan a book's barcode & add book

4. Go to "Your Catalog" in the app: book does not appear.

5. Go to the "purplecookydream" catalog on the site: book appears, and can be edited.

Note: according to the member, after a few days the added title will appear on the app.

This seems to happen a lot. People report it fairly frequently.
