The following maps are courtesy The Linda Hall Library History of Science Collection, and have been posted with permission.
Be sure to visit their stunning online exhibition: Voyages: Scientific Circumnavigations 1679-1859 here and the specific portion of William Dampier here.
Please note the fantastic curator who arranged this exhibition has moved on to other projects, and is no longer available to answer questions about William Dampier or the older online exbitions.
However, if you do have questions regarding Linda Hall, I have a staff member I can put you in touch with.
If you enjoy the online exhibit, please DO drop a note to the staff at the Hall of Scinece thanking them for their efforts and mentioning our Book Group; they are aware who we are and our interest in their exhibit. If you REALLY liked their exhibit, an online donation form is available to support other fantastic online exhibitions in the future.
I hope you enjoy the online exhibition as much as I did, and appreciate the efforts it took to show it to us.
