Washington Post book critic Patrick Anderson, the paper's reviewer of thriller novels, has authored an interesting book of his own called Triumph of the Thriller. Its basic premise is very similar to the premise on which this Brainy Thrillers Group was founded: that much of today's most interesting fiction is being written in the thriller genre and that some of these thrillers have literary merit.

Anderson singles out Connelly and Pelacanos as two thriller writers who bring out the best of this genre, and fingers James Patterson and Patricia Cornwall for being guilty of low-brow thriller writing.

For thriller afficianados, this book seems to be worth checking out.
