Books for America is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. We seek out book donations and use them to build reading libraries in local schools, shelters and more. We support our work by selling some of the books that are donated to us - come visit our used bookstore in Dupont Circle - we guarantee you'll leave with a handful!

We are located at 1417 22nd Street, NW (22nd St. between O & P). Open 7 days a week - Mon-Sat 10-6; Tue-Thu 'til 9pm; Sun 11-5. We accept donations of books, movies & CDs. Most of our books are priced from $2-$5, including the latest bestsellers.

We do not have our inventory listed online. Because we price our books ridiculously low, they tend to fly out the door. There's not enough time to list them!
