- Founded in 1913, the Dr. Sloan Library holds the charming distinction of a being public library and local museum. Its architecture is patterned after other small Carnegie Free Libraries in Ohio.
The library is a relaxing step back into a century old Zanesfield with high ceilings, original fixtures, solid flooring, and plaster. The library also has available in the lower level a full kitchen and hall that seats 40 people.
Relics donated by the early families are displayed in corners and in cases. They are a gentle foil to our up-to-date collection of materials and internet stations.
