Pikes Peak Library District - Old Colorado City Branch

As I said in my review for the Penrose branch of the PPLD, I love this network of local libraries. Penrose is closest to me and the largest, but Old Colorado City branch is BEAUTIFUL. It's the kind of library that you walk in and just sigh with the librariness of it all. The kind you see often in Europe but rarely in America. Thanks to the PPLD's website, I can reserve any book in the whole system and pick it up here, so even though it's small, you have access to a huge collection. I often drive the extra few miles just to enjoy a few minutes in this beautiful building. There's a cute park across the street and it's right next to some of the best restaurants in the Springs, just in case you want to take your book somewhere to relax. Highly recommended.
