'Jennifer' seems to be the first of a few works concerning this character by D M Perkins, who writes erotic literature. He does this expertly, and here Jennifer, a successful photographer, meets the man of her dreams, dominant and rich beyond belief. He entices her into writing a photo-illustrated story about the way modern man copes with the newly independent modern, equally demanding woman. Jennifer's encounters with him, in which her twin sister Marina joins in enthusiastically, are complemented by re-visits to her past lovers, all giving great scope for hot and steamy scenes which often involve three participants. I was left wondering about the actual success of her project, although all concerned seemed to be more than happy about it, and the ending hangs tantalisingly. For me the book has the quality of a dream, in which what happens is determined by the imagination of the dreamer rather than having the truth of a narrative. However, the writing is smooth in its depiction of the lifestyle of rich, successful Americans, and the eroticism is undeniably stirring. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
His touch released a dark flood of sensation in Jennifer. It coursed through her body and changed her from a rational, intelligent woman into someone else: a woman who would do anything -- move to any primitive sexual level -- when she was aroused. She'd always had an active fantasy life. One of her earliest sexual scenarios was a daydream of being kidnapped by a strong, ruthless man. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
