Greyson Hill expected his senior year at Pinesport High to be the best . His best friend, Trak, was back from spending his summer at Farragut Academy, a special school catering to the elite LECTROLS society. Genetically improved, LECTROLS are physically enhanced humans who are stronger, faster, and far more aggressive than their normal counterparts. Their physical prowess ensures their dominance in school and in society. Trak and Greyson had always been as close as brothers and they never let anything come between them. That might change if Trak was aware of Greysons unrequited love towards Traks girlfriend, the beautiful Leara. When Greyson stumbled across the deadly PROJECT REDSTAR, he discovers there is another race of enhanced humans who chose to remain hidden. Greyson realizes that a race war is brewing and he has to stop it before it erupts. But in order to do so, he must betray those he cares about the most. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

The girl Greyson has a crush on, Leara, has been keeping a secret. She is a Loor, a mentally enhanced person. The Loors are the enemies of the Lectrols. The three different races begin to collide with each other. Greyson must make a choose between the Lectrols and his friends.
“Pinesport Divide” has a great premise, but doesn’t go beyond that. The book is too long at almost four hundred pages, when the story could have been told in under two hundred. The dialogue makes the characters seem cartoonish. I couldn’t connect to the main character, or any others. The book is confusing at times, and suffers from too much telling and not enough showing.
