Summary: This book is about a tabby cat who runs an advice column. She answers other animals questions that they send her in the mail. The main part of this book is that Tabby cat is a stray and lives in the alley and one of the cats who writes to her always complains about his owner. Towards the end of the book, that cat who's writing in tells Tabby cat in a letter that he's leaving home and asks for advice is how he should depart from his owner and let her down easy. Tabby Cat writes back telling the cat not to worry, that she'll take care of it and she shows up on the owners door step with a note she has written saying to please take care of her. So in the end, Tabby cat ends up very happy and has a home.

Critique of Genre: Fantasy because the characters have supernatural abilities because they are animals who can talk, and read and write.
