This is a really great reference book to use in the classroom when discussing weather. The great thing about this book is that it contains a lot of information not just about weather, but plate tectonics and other cool things that happen to our planet. It would be a good book to use to transition from one lesson to another. Each page has full page illustrations with text. Each section also contains fun facts to which can be used for the younger grades. The text is great because it highlights key words. There is also a small glossary in the back of the book. I rated this a 5 out of 5 because the text throughout the book is large and contains highlighted key words making it easy for elementary students to read and stay interested in. It contains facts broken apart from the text to which the lower reading levels can still get something out of it. It also has really cool, vibrant illustrations!
