Nicely drawn with fun, flowing prose. Great for young ones. ( ) A cute, fun book about a family's weekend adventure. I really appreciate Marie Wicks' attention to detail in her illustrations -- the tiny image on the screen of the camera, the dog's background antics, tiny creatures, toys strewn about. I only have two complaints: the noses are a little strange, to the point of distraction, and the text isn't quite rhythmic enough to read it in a sing-song, even though its rhyming nature makes you want to. Overall, though, Yes, Let's is definitely a book I'd be happy to share with and read to kids. Note: I received a digital copy of this book through NetGalley. What a great story about a family who heads off to the woods/camping park for a wonderful day. The story is told in rhyme about the adventures they have. From getting up, loading the car, taking a picture before they begin, hiking, swimming, picnicing to heading home they share a wonderful day full of family fun and adventure. Reading this story with your family before you head off on your own trip or setting the stage for a summer vacation would be fun. As another reviewer said about this family, "There is fun, there is reality, there is love." The pictures are great, showing the happy faces of the people, but also the wonderful dog that is part of the family and of course the adventure as well. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
