Fell's biography of Jarry is shorter and rather grey in comparison with the longer, fuller, colorful, and masterfully constructed Brotchie biography. Fell doesn't really leave you with a sense of Jarry's personality. Interesting that both Fell and Brotchie depend heavily on Rachilde's biography which has never been translated into English.
