Come. Sit. Stay. I want to tell you a story. I think you'll like it. It's about a TREAT and a good dog, a very good dog who wanted to go play. But his friend was busy.... The Bedtime Book For Kids is a charming story about a dog who decides that he'd rather walk to the park by himself than wait for his human companion-and discovers that all of his usual activities aren't as much fun without a good friend to share them with. This is an adorably packaged book with illustrations by Paul Heath that makes a perfect gift for dog lovers of all ages, with words dogs will understand and kids will want to read again and again.… (meer)

A good dog wanted to play. Being a good dog, he does all of the normal things to go play, but found that with out a friend around to play with, it was not as much fun. So, being a good dog, he went home.

Cute and with large printed words for a new reader, this is a simple (maybe too simple) and easy to read story. With wonderful full page, bright colored illustrations by Paul S. Heath that help to tell the story. How fun for a beginning reader to be able to read a bedtime story to a dog or even to themselves. ( )

"Come. Sit. Stay. I want to tell you a story. I think you'll like it. It's about a treat."

A cute concept, this truly is a book to read to your dog. Because the words are so simple, perhaps a struggling reader might enjoy reading it aloud. Who can resist reading to a dog? And yes, I read it to my dog. She loved it!

I received a copy of this book through LT's Early Reviewer program. It's a cute book best used one-on-one with a child. I would not use it for a story time group because it is a small format picture book and the details of the charming illustrations would be lost.

Dog's owner is too busy so he decides to take a walk by himself, but it's not as fun. This was a cute picture book. It has simple text and big cartoonish illustrations, and involves treats! ( )

If you have or love dogs (good or bad) and/or love cute picture books then give yourself a treat and .... Come. Sit. Stay. Read. Laugh.
