An account of the collapse of Barings Bank, written very shortly after the collapse. The author, it seems, once worked at Barings, and leveraged her connections and experience there to write the book. One of the small advantages of the book is this "insider" view. The book does fairly well in documenting the organizational and supervisory dysfunction that directly led to Nick Leeson's rogue trading. Not completely perfect; a bit too much of the book does focus on the high life traders like Leeson led, rather more than is necessary to make the point as to what drove traders like Leeson. Still, a readable account. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
