I was quickly fascinated by the idea of the Dom having enough patience to wait for the sub to realize he is a sub before he ever even starts to test the waters on a sexual level. All the initiative to enter a new phase in their six-month relationship comes from the sub. It made for a delightful read. Leon is a great character. Funny, so young and inexperienced it almost hurts, but curious and very, very determined. Yes, he may have felt pressured to try a lot of things he isn’t ready for, but the underlying love he already has for Rupert is a great foundation to build upon. It was hilarious to see how he took over the reins in pushing the relationship further, in a way playing the Dom’s natural role. All while still pretending to be very submissive, of course. Rupert is surprised by Leon’s sudden willingness, almost need, to try new things. It takes him a while to figure out what is going on, but he goes with the flow, carefully guiding Leon back to levels of experimentation better suited to what Leon is ready for. This makes Rupert not just a great Dom, but shows how much of a clearly concerned and caring lover he is as well. He may not be ready to admit it out loud, but he really loves Leon and wants to do what is right for the much younger man. If you like D/s stories with a more psychological than physical angle, enjoy humor in the most unexpected places and have a few very hot sex scenes added into the mix, you will probably like this book. I certainly enjoyed reading it! NOTE: This book has been provied by Total-E-Bound for the purpose of a review on Queer Magazine Online. I did like the story, but I just think I wasn't in the mood for this kind of story, so instead of 3 stars, I'm going to give it 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I really just wanted Leon to confront Rupert instead of playing games; otherwise, I would have loved this story. But I guess if he just confronted Rupert, there wouldn't have been much of a story.
