A voice in your brain warning you away from that one drink too many, or the crime of violence, guiding your every move from birth to death - that's the Analogue Machine, a terrifying and ingenious psychological device for compelling conformity. Analogue Men is an exploration of man and society written with dazzling ingenuity and plausibility. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

I got the feeling he had several ideas or short stories that he very loosely tied together for a novel. There are many chapters that could have been left out as they contributed nothing to the advancement of the plot. They were just diversions in case the reader was getting bored? The entire book was written in the "keep the reader guessing and all will be revealed in the end" technique. I keep skipping ahead hoping to find out who was good or bad. When I finally got to the big ending the explanations were mostly, "We just kill anyone we don't trust." Well, that explains some of the book...
I may try another Knight novel but It will be a while. First I have to forget this one. ( )
