In this book, two boys pretend to be pirates and roam about their house looking for treasure before settling in for a nap. Told in rhymes with lots of onomatopoeia, the creative story asks children to use their imagination along with the characters to see pirate ships and treasure in household items. The brightly colored illustrations add to the fun and help to explain when the text is a bit vague. I think this book could work well for children in the 4-6 age range. However, my toddlers were a little too young to really comprehend what was going on, despite my best efforts to explain. For that reason, I was a bit disappointed with this book. The children are running around the house pretending to be pirates and every 2 or 3 pages it points out one of their objects being a specific color. But as far as younger children are concerned I think it's a bit naive to call it a book emphasizing colors. Just wasn't a fan... geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
