As a long time reader and fan of the New Teen Titans I went out of my way to get this book when the oppurtunity presented itself . Overall, I enjoyed George Perez' art immensely but was a bit let down by Wolfmans story whose style has not changed significantly from the 80's . As member GreyGhost stated this will not be a good starting point for new readers of the Titans but it will make older fans wax nostalgic . (

If you are long-time reader of the 1980's version of the New Teen Titans, this is a great book. If you have never read the comics before, this is not the place to start (start with the [New Teen Titans Omnibus #1] instead.) Drafted by 'King' Faraday, the Titans must protect New York City from "the Gamemaster." Except nothing is ever that easy or straight forward. Look for some really nice scenes with Cyborg and Raven over the devastating loss of a friend, and a terrible choice, and even Danny Chase FINALLY acts like an actual titan, instead of a loud-mouthed kid. Overall, I really enjoyed the book, and since with the complete re-vamp of the DC universe, this version of the Titans has been pretty much sidelined, but it's a fitting final story for this beloved team. (
